8. Write a paragraph on "Unemployment" 

Unemployment

Unemployment is one of the most acute and challenging problems in Bangladesh and many other developing countries of the world. It refers to the condition in which able-bodied and willing people fail to get suitable employment opportunities. The major causes of unemployment include rapid population growth, lack of modern industrialization, limited job sectors, inadequate technical education, and a wide gap between educational qualifications and practical job requirements. Every year thousands of graduates pass out from schools, colleges, and universities, but the number of available jobs is very limited compared to the growing workforce. As a result, many educated youths remain unemployed for long periods, which creates frustration, depression, and mental stress among them. Unemployment gives rise to many social problems such as poverty, crime, drug addiction, corruption, and social unrest. It also slows down national development by wasting valuable human resources and reducing overall productivity. To solve this problem, the government should take effective steps to expand industrialization, promote small and cottage industries, provide vocational and technical training, and create more self-employment opportunities. At the same time, population control, career-oriented education, and private sector involvement are essential. If proper measures are taken with collective efforts, unemployment can be reduced and sustainable national development can be achieved.
